Lumen Christi uses a Digital Portfolio platform called ‘Seesaw’ to record and share what is happening in the classroom and at school. It is also a valuable communication tool that promotes positive home-school partnerships.

Seesaw gives students a space to document their learning, be creative and explore digital technology in an interesting and meaningful way. Each student has access to their own journal and will add things to it such as photos, videos, drawings, notes and links over the course of their school day. Seesaw gives students the creative tools to capture and reflect on their learning – in real time.

A valuable feature of Seesaw is the ability for parents and families to have access to their own child’s journal to view student posts as they happen. When there are new Seesaw posts, families are notified via app notifications, email or SMS. Parents are only notified about their own child’s work through personalised family QR code that they are given access to and all data is safe and secure.

The following Youtube clip provides further information about how the Seesaw parent access feature works.
