Home learning is an important extension of the learning that takes place within the classroom and recognises the partnership between school, students, and families in supporting student growth. It encourages students to see learning as a meaningful and ongoing journey that extends beyond the school environment, fostering curiosity, confidence and a love of learning.

Home learning provides opportunities for students to reflect on, practise and consolidate their skills while sharing aspects of their learning experiences with their families and carers. It supports the development of independence, organisation, responsibility and positive learning habits by encouraging students to manage their time and take ownership of their learning. Through purposeful home learning experiences, students are supported to strengthen their understanding, complete learning tasks and continue to build their capacity as lifelong learners.
